About us
Divine Xpressions Clothing Collection was started in May 2014, by it's CEO and Co-founder Am Tchet MenMenari aka (Tariq J. Sweeper) who at the that time was just starting to learn how to sew clothing. Prior to that Am Tchet (Tariq) would have visions of thing he wanted made, and take his designs to one of the elder mother's in his Spiritual community (the Ausar Auset Society in Philadelphia), Nerit Saunghk Neru aka (Jackie Lee Co-founder) who, at that time had over 50yrs of sewing experience. It did not take long for Am Tchet develop his sewing abilities. Am Tchet and Nerit quickly began working together on forming a clothing line to sell in their Spiritual communities store. Am Tchet (Tariq) would focus more on the men and boys clothing while Nerit (JLee) focused on the women and girls clothing.
We would go on to do Fashion show within and around the Philadelphia area. Although at this time our clothing line was called Atef wear and Mutu wear, Am Tchet felt that it was time to take thing to the next level due to the responds we were receiving from our supporters, so we decided to call our clothing line Divine Xpressions because we understand that our talents in the area of fashion are a gift from the GOD / The Creator that is being expressed through us. So we embarked on this mission to make Cultural Clothing. Our Vision is to empower the people of our community, by uniting our-story (one of the African man & women) and our Rich culture through fashion that expresses our Divine Nature
